Which food should be eaten during cough?

1) Ginger Tea

2) Black pepper

Black pepper should also be consumed in cough. It can be taken by adding it to ginger tea or mixed with honey. Boil some black pepper powder well in water for some time, then let this water come to normal temperature. Consume this water before sleeping, you will get relief from cough.

3) Water

Drinking more and more water in a cough is quite useful. In cough, at least 1 to 2 glasses of water must be drunk within every 2 hours. By drinking more water, the mucus starts thinning and it comes out easily through the throat which gives relief from cough.

4) Raw Garlic

Eating raw garlic is extremely effective in cough. Like ginger, raw garlic also has antimicrobial and antiviral properties.

Eating garlic with honey is even more helpful. Due to the anti-inflammatory properties found in garlic and honey, it is very effective in treating throat problems such as cough, mucus in the throat, sore throat and hoarseness.

5) Basil Leaves

Chewing fresh basil leaves is also beneficial in case of cough. Along with this, making a paste of basil leaves and applying it to the chest is extremely useful in cough and heartburn.

6) Mint Leaves

Consumption of mint is effective in correcting many throat related disorders. Drinking fresh mint leaves in tea is also very beneficial.

7) Turmeric

Taking honey with turmeric also provides relief in cough. Cough can be stopped by taking a teaspoon of honey mixed with a pinch of turmeric. Drink two-three times a day for a few days.
